Tuesday Tip Spotlight:
Lemon Essential Oil De-stinks Sour Dishcloths
Lemon oil is great for lots of things. It’s a known cleansing agent, removes sticky labels and more. But did you know that you can also freshen up a load of stinky/musty/not so great smelling dishcloths (or other towels)? It’s easy, too. Simply Add your dishcloths to a bucket filled with water. Add 8-10 drops of lemon oil. Stir everything up. Let sit for 24 hours and run through the washer. Your dishcloths will shed their sour odor and be as good as new (they’ll not only smell better, they’ll look cleaner, too).
Fun fact: Lemon oil is made by cold pressing the rinds of lemons. It takes 45 lemons to make 1 15ml bottle of lemon oil.
