Chemicals infused bug and garden solutions are the norm but it doesn’t have to be that way. Making your own essential oil bug spray is one natural solution that’s easy to do and saves your health and the health of our planet.
It’s also easy. Here’s how:
Essential Oil Bug Spray
1 8 oz. spray bottle
Witch Hazel
Use a any combination of any of these essential oils: Arborvitae, Clove, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Melaleuca, Cedar, Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus and Cinnamon
Vegetable glycerin
Fill your spray bottle half full with distilled water. Add 25-50 drops of your preferred essential oils from list above (in any combination). The more oils you use, the stronger it will be and the better it will work. Add 1/2 teaspoon of glycerin. Add witch hazel to the top. Shake before spraying.
Experiment to see which combinations of oils you like best and you’ll have an effective, great smelling, chemical free bug spray!
